MAC Bangin’ Brilliant Lipstick Swatches

MAC Bangin' Brilliant

MAC Bangin’ Brilliant Lipstick

As you may know, MAC recently added 29 (if I counted correctly…) lipstick shades to their permanent collection, under the name of “Bangin’ Brilliant.” I was most excited when I saw some of the frost finishes that were coming out. Normally, I hate frost and lustre finishes – these are usually very sheer and quick to completely come off the lips. However, there were some duo-chrome looking options that just looked AMAZING. It so happens, these were also the last shades in the MAC Bangin’ Brilliant collection to be released. Because that’s my kind of luck.

The three shades in the MAC Bangin’ Brilliant collection I ended up strongly attached to are Pick Me, Pick Me!, On and On, and Model Behaviour.

MAC Bangin' Brilliant

PICK ME, PICK ME! – Muted lavender with pink pearl
ON AND ON – Deep purple with blue pearl
MODEL BEHAVIOUR – Clean violet with blue pearl
Now, these shade names do sound a bit intimidating, and the lipstick certainly look a bit extreme in the bullets. However, because of their sheerer finishes, they actually come off more subtle and wearable.

The overall look of each shade can be changed by which liner you wear. I would recommend using a lip liner with these because they do have quite a bit of slip to them and it is difficult to get a clean line as you can see in my swatches below. Please note that these are over bare lips so you can see the true effect of each shade.

Overall, I think these are very interesting shades to add to your collection. Definitely take a look at the MAC Bangin’ Brilliant collection to see if there are any other shades you want to take home!
