Hello, lovely classmates! I hope you are doing well as we head into the second half of summer! Were you as excited as I was about the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon collection? Let’s review the facts:
I picked up two shades to test for you: Nearly Neon Pink and Nearly Neon Peach. Orange, blue, purple and fuschia are also available.
The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon collection comes in Bite’s standard soft-touch black packaging. As always, these products are formulates without sulfates, phthalates and parabens. They have a citrus scent and are creamy to apply.
The basic idea of the Nearly Neon collection is that these are bright shades that still manage to be wearable. I happen to think this is true of Peach and Pink (I’m not sure if blue will ever be a “wearable” color for me, but that shouldn’t stop anyone else!) They do not have that white base that can sometimes make me look washed out and they have the comfort and lasting power of the Amuse Bouche formula that Bite is now known for.
Overall, I think the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon colors are worth checking out if you are in the market for a pop of color! Let me know what you think, especially if you happen to have picked up the blue or purple!

Hello, class! Spring Break has officially begun, so I am looking forward to really hunkering down and getting some posts done for you.
Today, I want to revisit a little discussion we had a few weeks ago about Bite Beauty’s relatively new lipstick line: The Amuse Bouche. At that time I was able to swatch three shades for you:
Feel free to head over to that original post if you want a more in-depth review.
Today, I want to add a couple new shades to this virtual collection, and show you some pictures in case you have any upcoming shopping trips planned!
The new shade additions are Souffle, a marshmallow pink, and Spritzer, which is called a “plum rose,” but I really don’t know what that even means, so let’s call it light purple. Yes, light purple is much easier for me to understand…
I thought these two colors would be really nice additions for the Spring. Souffle is the type of pink I usually avoid because it is so light and girly, but it really does look lovely paired with a simple wing and loads of mascara.
The new colors wear pretty much the same as my older ones – the lipstick is creamy but long-lasting and comfortable.
Please, please, please if you have any of your own swatches share them below!

Good morning, my friends! Finding out that Bite Beauty was discontinuing their Luminous Creme lipsticks was quite a blow. However, now that I’ve tried their replacement line, the Amuse Bouche, I am convinced that sometimes change can be fantastic. The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks are creamy and pigmented. Bite offers 34 shades in this new line, ranging from nude (try “Meringue” or “Honeycomb”) to deep black-purple (“Black Truffle”).
I got my hands on three shades to test-drive for you. The first is a beige-nude called Honeycomb.
I was hoping this would be a dupe for my old favorite, Cava, but it leans warmer. Still, it is a beautiful shade.
Next, I tried Sugarcane, a pale pink.
Many light pinks was me out, but I found this one to be quite wearable. I look forward to getting a lot of use out of it in the spring!
Finally, I tried a shade that is quickly becoming a cult-favorite on Instagram – Chai.
Chai is a mauve brown that is dark but not overwhelmingly so.
Having worn these for a few days now, I can say that while they are creamy, they do have decent longevity. This is especially so for the darker shade, Chai. I find that while some of the sheen may wear off with eating or drinking, the pigment stains the lips enough to prevent that awkward fading that we all hate.
The new Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick is a lovely line. The lipsticks are comfortable to wear. Some are deterred by the new citrus scent, but for those of you familiar with the matte crayons, you’ll find that you’ve smelled this fragrance before! All three shades shown above are wearable and work-appropriate for many skintones.
If you’ve swatched any Bite lipsticks, please leave your link in the comments so we can all see!
