When Valentia asked if I wanted to review another one of their products, I was really excited! After all, I still use the skin detoxifying clay mask they sent via BrandBacker in May.

According to Valentia, the Retinol Serum will diminish wrinkles, stimulate collagen, improve skin tone, manage breakouts, and condition skin. The special ingredients in this product that promote these benefits are:

– Retinol (Vitamin A): Works at the cellular level to stop winkles, manage breakouts, and evens out skin discoloration.

– Vitamin C: Guards skin against environmental free-radicals to prevent premature aging.

– Vitamin E: Provides intense hydration to diminish the drying effects of retinol.

– Squalane: Derived for pure olive oil to soften and condition delicate skin.

As directed, I applied the Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum to my cleansed face nightly for about a week. While I don’t think this is a long enough period of time to see some of the long-term claims, my skin did feel hydrated and smooth upon waking. I also noticed an even skin tone and bright complexion. This is a thick serum that is easy to apply (don’t you hate runny serums?!) and has a scent that is not unpleasant. You get 1.18 fluid ounces in the dropper bottle, which I’d say would last at least a few months if not longer.

Let’s talk about what the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay mask is. According to Valentia, the key ingredients in this mask are:

– Kaolin Clay: Clay minerals draw impurities, improve skin tone, and tighten pores for smoother firmer skin.

– Plant Stem Cells: Naturally decreases the level of pro-aging toxins and works to soother the skin, reduce redness, and improve evenness.

– Spirulina: A botanical stimulant full of vitamins that hydrates the skins surface and contributes to tissue regeneration of the skin.

– CoQ10: Lessens the appearance of wrinkles by reducing free radical damage and stimulating health collagen production.

As directed, I applied the mask “generously” to my clean face and went about my business for 20 minutes. After rinsing with warm water and a cloth, my skin felt refreshed and clean but not at all dry or tight. I used the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay mask four times (yes, I know that’s higher than the recommended frequency!) over the course of one week, and I found that over time my skin appeared brighter and my pores less noticeable. I also felt that it diminished those pesky blackheads on my chin.

Overall, I absolutely love this mask and would consider purchasing it. The Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask gets a gold star! I can see myself going back to this mask every time I have a bad skin day.
