Hask Biotin Boost
Thanks to Brandbacker and Hask (in other words, #sponsoredpost) I had the opportunity to try three products from the Hask Biotin Boost Thickening Collection. The Biotin Boost Thickening Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Thickening Cream are meant to help take your hair from flat to fabulous!

The Claims
HASK’s new Biotin Boost Thickening Collection features a “triple threat” of ingredients to pump up the volume of lifeless strands. The line uses biotin for strength and volume, collagen to fortify the hair shaft, and coffee to stimulate the hair follicles. These products also promise to achieve these effects without adding any heaviness to the overall feel of the hair. Additionally, the Biotin Boost Thickening Collection is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and artificial colors.
My Thoughts
I am skeptical whenever I enter into a new relationship with a hair product. My past experiences have led me to understand that product that promises volume rarely does so in any significant way! However, the Biotin Boost Thickening Collection does, in my opinion, impact the volume and feel of the hair in a positive way.
Let me talk about each product briefly:
The Biotin Boost Thickening Shampoo is a creamy formula that lathers without much effort. I find that it effectively cleanses the hair in one rinse and I do not need a second application. It has a strong, somewhat masculine scent.
The Biotin Boost Thickening Conditioner is very light, as far as conditioners go. A little goes a long way because it spreads through the hair fairly effortlessly. It also has that strong, masculine fragrance.
I have only used the shampoo and conditioner together so I cannot speak for the effectiveness of each product alone. However, I can say that the Biotin Boost Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner leave my hair feeling light and bouncy.
The Biotin Boost Thickening Cream is a thick formula, but it spreads through the hair nicely. My advice would be to use it sparingly, as a small amount is effective at giving the hair a thick feel.
My one and only issue with the Hask Biotin Boost Thickening Collection is the scent. As I mentioned, all three products have a fragrance that I associate with masculine-leaning grooming products. This, in and of itself, I don’t typically mind. With the shampoo and conditioner, the scent is powerful but it does wash away. The thickening cream is another story! The overpowering fragrance lingered in my hair all day. To make matters worse, no matter how much I washed my hands, my palms still smelled of the cream.
Fragrance aside, this is an awesome collection. My hair, which leans oily, can make it two and three days between washes because it stays voluminous and airy. I highly recommend this collection if you are in need of volume-boosting hair products.
