]]>Hello everyone! I hope you have been well and happy! Today I wanted to quickly share some amazing swatches of a palette that will definitely be on many makeup lover’s radar. We are looking at the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette.
This limited edition palette has 16 shades unique to Kat Von D’s beauty line, in celebration of the brand’s 10th anniversary. From Sephora’s description:
Kat Von D Beauty is celebrating their first decade in the only way they know how—an epic eyeshadow palette that inspires you to be your boldest self. In honor of this milestone, Kat hand-picked a special selection of shades inspired by and named after 16 of her muses—people of all backgrounds, ages, genders, and skin tones—representing the many faces of Kat Von D Beauty.
I wanted to talk about the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette specifically here on the blog because I have seen mixed reviews. Before I even show you my swatches, I want to express that I really enjoy this palette. Is it Kat Von D’s best? Absolutely not. However, is it a beautiful, workable palette? Yes it is. It comes packaged in a beautiful gold plastic casing (which I, of course, forgot to photograph). Definitely a collectible item.
As you can see, the rainbow of shades is bold and pigmented.
There is a nice variety of shades and finishes. I was especially surprised by the intensity of the bottom two shades, as blues and greens can be so hit-or-miss. I saw a comment that bemoaned the lack of a color story. Personally, I think that the plethora of tones lends itself to a great many creative options.
The Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette is available at Sephora for $52. It sold out on Kat Von D’s website upon release, so definitely get yours soon if you are interested!
You might consider passing if: you never use colorful shades or if you have one of Kat Von D’s other colorful palettes. I did compare some shades to those in the Mi Vida Loca Remix and the Saints and Sinners, and there are no exact matches. You definitely need to pick this up if: you love rainbow shades and/or are a huge Kat Von D Beauty fan.
What do you think? Will you be shopping for the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette?

]]>Hello, class! Today I have the perfect beauty item to add to your routine for the holidays. The Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coats add just the right of sparkle to glam up your everyday look. As you know, I have a long history of loving Natasha Denona products.
There are six shades of Chroma Crystal Top Coats available, and I have two to show you. I was drawn to “Nude” and “Grey Brown,” the two cooler shades in the collection. This product can be used on bare lids, as an eye shadow topper, or on the lips for a dazzling effect.
Based on Natasha Denona’s Chroma Crystal eyeshadows, this product is creamy to the touch and gives your look a natural, lustrous glass effect due to its pure pigments, real crushed pearls, and chroma crystals. — Sephora.com
The Natash Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coats come in little frosted jars (0.2oz) with plastic screw lids. The top coats are intensely shimmery. They feel creamy to the touch, yet firm. When applied with the finger, the product produces a glossy effect. Below, you will see Grey Brown on the left, and Nude on the right.
My favorite way to apply the Chroma Crystal Top Coats are with a finger over bare lids. The shimmer is not too overwhelming for daytime, and when paired with a black winged liner and a bold lip, it yields a classic, polished look. I have worn one or both of these top coats at least four days out of the week since they arrived! If I had to pick between the two colors, Grey Brown is my favorite as it just looks somewhat glossier.
You can find the Chroma Crystal Top Coats wherever Natasha Denona products are sold, including Sephora.

Hello, lovely classmates! I hope you are doing well as we head into the second half of summer! Were you as excited as I was about the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon collection? Let’s review the facts:
I picked up two shades to test for you: Nearly Neon Pink and Nearly Neon Peach. Orange, blue, purple and fuschia are also available.
The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon collection comes in Bite’s standard soft-touch black packaging. As always, these products are formulates without sulfates, phthalates and parabens. They have a citrus scent and are creamy to apply.
The basic idea of the Nearly Neon collection is that these are bright shades that still manage to be wearable. I happen to think this is true of Peach and Pink (I’m not sure if blue will ever be a “wearable” color for me, but that shouldn’t stop anyone else!) They do not have that white base that can sometimes make me look washed out and they have the comfort and lasting power of the Amuse Bouche formula that Bite is now known for.
Overall, I think the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Nearly Neon colors are worth checking out if you are in the market for a pop of color! Let me know what you think, especially if you happen to have picked up the blue or purple!

Hi again! Today I want to talk about one of my favorite sets that’s come out recently. This is the Nudestix Babeboss Faves Box, available at Sephora. Let me give you the description of this amazing collection right from the website:
This limited-edition #BABEBOSS Faves Box features six coveted lip pencils formulas. Handpicked by Nudesitx Co-founders, Ally and Taylor Frankel along with Nudestix Babebosses; @ssssamanthaa, @iamkareno, @lynettecenee, @saythelees, and @cydbee, this kit is ideal for the #BABEBOSS who knows the power of a gorgeous lip look.
This box is loaded with these lip favorites:
Ally & Taylor Frankel – Lip + Cheek Cream in Sin: the perfect rose nude for an added pop
@ssssamanthaa – Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in Pulse: a glossy, nude that is ultra-moisturizing
@iamkareno – Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Color in Stiletto: a sexy, red-hot shade
@lynettecenee – Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Boho: a matte brown lip stain circa ‘60’s
@saythelees – Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Color in Purity: a soft matte, natural nude lip
@cydbee – Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Burgundy: a 60’s inspired rich matte corduroy
Since I’ve been having such a love affair with the Magnetic Matte lip, I thought it would be nice to get a few more colors and try more formulas, as well. Keep in mind that you are getting all six for $59, which is less than half the total value if you were to buy each product individually.
Ready for the swatches? Of course you are.
As you can see, and as I expected, all of the pencils are highly pigmented and creamy. Even the matte formulas glide on easily.
Sin, Pulse, and Stilleto are great for the summer. I’m looking forward to wearing Boho, Purity and Burgundy in the fall!
Have you tried any pencils from the Nudestix Babeboss Faves Box? Tell me in the comments, please!

Hello, my friends. Today we are taking a quick look at a couple of shades of what I consider Nudestix’s best lip product. The Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color comes in pencil form, like most of their other products, and is sent in a cute little Nudestix tin with a sharpener.
I’m going to steal the Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color right from Sephora’s website:
What it is:
A multitasking, three-in-one, lip stain, lip color, and lip liner that glides on high performance, intense color in must-have, rich nude shades. What it does:
These long-lasting, touch n’go makeup sticks create bold nude lip looks with kiss-proof color. Let Magnetic Matte Lip Color take your lip look from day to night with nine-hour wear so you can go matte all day long. This non-drying, waterproof matte lipstick applies smoothly and will not budge. Its innovative formula means that it’s non-feathering, and its intense pigment load provides maximum, smooth coverage to easily take any lip look from the office to the runway.
I tried two shades: Rose and Greystone. Rose is described as “mystic meets love”, which I believe is a reference to their lip and cheek pencils that are nude and pink, and Greystone as “greige.” Unlike many other intensely matte lipsticks, the Magnetic Matte Lip Color applies like the most luxurious cream. Within a few seconds of application, it dries down completely matte and budge-proof.
These lipsticks do feel very dry on the lips. That being said, I don’t find that my lips are actually dry afterwards. Additionally, there is a little bit of fade after eating greasy foods and this is noticeable especially with the darker color of Greystone. Still, this is one of my favorite lipstick shades ever.
I highly recommend checking out the Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color pencils either online, or next time you are in Sephora! I think I may need to try some more of the colors!

]]>The post Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip appeared first on This teacher wears makeup..
]]>Let’s talk about what this new Art Stick Liquid Lip is. According to the description on Sephora, this product is:
A super-pigmented, eight-hour wear, creamy liquid lipstick in a squeezable tube.
Easy enough, right? Let’s talk about the colors I tested. I wanted to try an everyday color and a brighter color. Therefore, I chose Pink Heather, a rich neutral berry and Papaya, a bright orange coral.
The Art Stick Liquid Lip comes in a squeezy tube, which confuses me sometimes because I keep trying to twist the bottom when there is nothing to twist. The applicator is a hard plastic, which allows for precise application though it can be tricky to spread the product. The product itself, though, is pigmented and opaque.
The Art Stick Liquid Lip does not dry down. It has a semi-matte finish. I find this product to be incredibly similar to the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lips Tars. Therefore, I would predict that these are long lasting, but not transfer proof. I’ll update you when I’ve had a chance to test the longevity!
The Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip is available at Sephora for those of you who also like to earn points there!

Hello, all! Today we are doing a really brief overview and swatch party of a new NARS release. The product in question is the NARSISSIST Unfiltered Cheek Palette. I got my hands on the Unfiltered II palette during the Sephora sale.
There are two NARSISSIST Unfiltered Cheek palettes currently available at Sephora (and, I noticed, at Sephora inside J.C. Penny). Unfiltered I has some beautiful warm shades that seem to be geared more towards deeper skin tones (thought anyone can rock them, really!) Unfiltered II has cooler-toned shades that include:
Conquest (pastel peach matte)
Undefeated (pale pink shimmer)
Power Play (vivid pink matte)
Hot Sand (peach champagne sheen)
Fame (pink amber sheen)
Candid (mauve raspberry shimmer)
Each pan contains .12 oz of product, compared to the .16 oz in the standards NARS blush pan. It is also important to note that these are of the traditional NARS formula, not the dual intensity, which I also love. All but one of the shades (Hot Sand) are limited edition, as is the palette as a whole.
The NARSISSIST Unfiltered Cheek Palette is very sturdy and luxurious-feeling, which is a nice change of pace as far as LE items go. Here are the swatches!
As you can see, these one-finger-swipe swatches are pigmented and beautiful. There is a nice variety in color that would lend itself to being used year-round.
So what do you think? Do you need to pick this up? Or, do you have swatches of Unfiltered I that you want to share? Tell us below!
Or, check out some other NARS favorites:
