Hello beautiful people of the internet! Please forgive my long absence. I wish I could say I was doing something fun- but I was just lazy!
I want to get back-on-track with one of my most recent and most favorite discoveries. Today we are taking a look at the PÜR Visionary Palette.
I stumbled upon the PÜR Visionary Palette (literally stumbled, by the way…. I had perhaps first had a margarita..) on a casual trip through the aisles of Ulta. The purples and the pink among the neutral shades of this twelve pan palette called to me on an emotional level. And at $32, it seemed like a pretty decent buy. (Pssst- I also found it for slightly less at Kohls.)
I am not incredibly familiar with the PÜR brand, but I can say after playing with the PÜR Visionary Palette that I will definitely be checking out more from this line in the future. In the meantime, let’s talk about the palette. As I mentioned, we have twelve shades ranging from deep purple to pinky neutrals. It’s a warm-tone leaning palette, though not overly so. It also occurred to me as I played with the palette that the included shades are absolutely perfect for green and hazel eyes; the purples and rose gold tones will really bring out the colors in the iris.
Upon swatching, I found the mattes to be soft but incredibly pigmented. And the shimmers – they pack a lot of sparkle in a little product! Can we also talk about the shade names? “Role Model” “Icon” “CEO” I just think it’s incredibly refreshing to have product names that are positive rather than provocative.
Have I convinced you yet? If so, the PÜR Visionary Palette is available online and in-store at Ulta and Kohl’s. It is not on the PÜR website; I believe it sold out there. Lastly, if there are any other PÜR products you’d like me to try and review, please let me know in the comments!

Hello, class! I started thinking that an amazing “fall-toned” palette that is being overlooked this season is the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette. I mean, a palette centered around browns and oranges and purples is the epitome of what everyone is going crazy for this season! Figuring it might be nice to reiterate the beauty of this palette, I present to you, Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly!
From ShopStyle:
Only at ULTA! Inspired by the social media sensation that is Peanut Butter from Too Faced’s bestselling Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Collection, they created this peanut butter palette of nine gorgeous matte and shimmer shades featuring antioxidant-rich cocoa powder with a creamy peanut butter twist! Includes their signature Glamour Guide with three looks to get you started. Shades: Bananas (soft peachy gold w/ fine gold shimmer) Extra Creamy (matte creamy beige) Jammin’ (dark chocolate w/ golden sparkle) Jelly (vibrant orchid) Nuts About U (matte brown w/ red undertones) Spread the Love (medium peach w/ gold sparkle) Peanut Brittle (metallic burnt orange) Peanut Butter (matte medium orange brown) Peanut Butter Cup (metallic golden bronze w/ gold sparkle)
Unfortunately, I think the worst performing shades in the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette are the purples. Jammin’ swatches a bit too sheer, and Jelly lacks pigmentation. However, if you happen to be looking for gift ideas, this makes the palette ideal for that beginner in your life who may use a heavy hand!
Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly is back on shelves and online at Ulta. Oh, and did I mention that it smells like peanut butter? But don’t worry, it doesn’t contain any peanut products!

Hello, friends! Today’s swatchfest will be brief, but exciting! We are looking at the new Anastasia Beverly Hills palette, titled the Master Palette By Mario. This palette is:
A special-edition eye shadow collection created with celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. –Sephora.com
The Master Palette By Mario contains 12 buttery smooth eyeshadows of varying shades ranging from neutral to mossy green (every palette needs a weird green shade, amiright?)
A lot of reviews are mixed on this palette. Some are not a fan of the pricepoint ($45) while others cite a lack of good brow bone shade. I would agree that these are factors to consider, however, if you happen to already have the Modern Renaissance palette then you really have all the shades you will ever need (minus a purple, if you like purple.)
The Master Palette By Mario is currently available at Sephora and Ulta. This is a limited edition item, so if you want it, now is the time!
All of the shades are pigmented, with the shimmers performing just slightly better than the mattes.
I’m sure you can see that this is a beautiful palette for the fall season. Yes, many of the shades are dupe-able, but there’s something wonderful about having them all in one pre-made palette.
The Master Palette By Mario can take you from classic to grunge, and is a worthy investment if you’re in the market for a new palette. I’d love to hear your thoughts- leave them in the comments!

]]>[may contain affiliate links] Hello, class! In case you live under a rock, I’m here today to remind you the LORAC Mega Pro 3 Palette is currently available at Ulta, and that you may need it.
I’m feelin’ a little lazy today, so I’m going to give you the info directly from Ulta’s website:
Go PRO with Lorac Mega PRO Palette 3! This limited edition PRO artistry palette is packed with 32 eye shadows in all the matte and shimmer shades you need to create the hottest looks straight from Hollywood. Lorac’s velvety smooth shadows are ultra pigmented with maximum payoff to perform wet or dry so you can shade, shadow, line and define your eyes, just like a PRO.
White soft touch palette with rose gold detail.
Featuring 32 PRO Eye Shadow Shades:
Shades include:
While I don’t think I’ve played with every single shade yet, I can assure you that the mega pro palettes have a history of being excellent quality. Overall, I think this third installation leans more heavily rose and copper than the previous two, but it does have some stunning shades that are cool-toned. Let’s take a look…
As you can see, this is a stunning palette, and perhaps a good deal if you consider it is $59 USD for 32 shadows. While some of the shades are “dupeable” I’d say the LORAC Mega Pro 3 is at least different enough from the first two to warrant adding it to your collection. Here are some comparison shots:
As with the previous 2 mega pro palettes, you can expect the LORAC Mega Pro 3 to sell out and be gone forever. So if you need it… get it!

My first high-end eyeshadow palette ever was one from Urban Decay. I’ve always had an affinity for their shadow formulation and color options. Surprisingly, I’ve never owned an Urban Decay “Vice” palette. Today that changes. Available now online at Ulta and in stores on 1/24, the Urban Decay Vice LTD Reloaded palette is a collection of twenty shadows. Some are new shades while others are shades that can be found throughout Urban Decay’s history in various collections.
Let me tell you, this palette is photogenic. So please enjoy the following photos. [Random side note – this first photo gained my like 30 new Instagram followers in an hour. Are you my friend on Instagram? You should be!]
Like I said, this palette has 20 shades. They’re not arranged in any discernible order, but neither is most of my stuff, so I’m fine with it.
I found the bottom two rows to be more pigmented than the top two, but not overly so. “Roadstripe” has a surprising iridescence to it, thought I suppose it really isn’t that surprising considering the shade’s name…
I also enjoy the shade “Asphyxia” (I already own the corresponding liner) and am drawn to the beauty of “Goldmine”. “Gash” will be a fun red to play around with and “Laced” and “Anonymous” offer great nude options.
The Urban Decay Vice LTD Reloaded palette offers an infinite very, very, very large number of combinations ranging from neutral to extreme. The packaging is fun and very sturdy-feeling. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t owned any previous Vice palettes.
